John Feltham is a singer/songwriter originally from St. John’s but is now living on the Terra Nova National Park border in Glovertown, Newfoundland. John has been playing music for most of his life, and has been writing and performing his own material for nearly twenty years.
A revealing storyteller that tends to write his songs in the key of heartache, John draws inspiration from many different lyrical and musical influences. “I can write a riff rock tune today, and the next a traditional Newfoundland type ballad will come out of me”. It’s the openness to just about any musical style that has allowed John to share his songs and collaborate with many people from around the world.
John is heavily involved in the Newfoundland music scene at a variety of levels, from ongoing open mic and jam sessions, songwriter nights, organizing benefit concerts and local festivals to playing at a host of family friendly events. John looks into 2017 with a renewed confidence and focus on his solo material, he has been dusting off a lot of old songs, while writing many new in anticipation for a new album to be recorded in early fall.
