Bleu is the moniker under which Newfoundland-born Marcus McLaughlin began releasing solo recordings in the fall of 2014. This led to a series of mainly bandcamp-exclusive releases, until 2017 saw the self-release of “Monoculture EP”. The 4-track EP features fuzzy, phased-out psych moments which seamlessly transition into catchy, melancholic pop songs. Amongst these transitions lie melodies infectious enough to set Bleu apart from many other bandcamp-bred "dream pop" artists. After completing multiple tours of eastern Canada since 2015’s “It Comes in Waves", Bleu is currently based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia and is set to release a full-length album in early 2019.
