Singer-songwriter Chris LeDrew hails from the culturally-rich Canadian city of St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he has spent much of his life honing a busy and successful music career. He has released two award-winning and critically acclaimed solo albums as well as one with the band Brothers in Stereo, which was nominated for three East Coast Music Awards and took home the 2003 CBC Galaxie Rising Star award. LeDrew’s music has received widespread international radio play, and he has performed all over North America in clubs, concert halls, arenas, and on national radio/television shows. He has opened for the likes of Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo, Tragically Hip, April Wine, Sam Roberts, and many more.
In August 2016 he recorded his third solo album Art of the Confessor in Nashville with producer Joshua Grange, who currently plays steel guitar with Sheryl Crow’s band and has worked with artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Dwight Yoakam, and KD Lang. LeDrew is also an accomplished music photographer and a lecturer of English at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
LeDrew’s plan for 2017 is to tour in support of his latest album and bring this offering of songs to a fresh, new audience.
