
Greg Smith
Greg Smith has become a trusted and known voice and name in the province.
Greg has been in the NL radio industry for more than a decade. Starting with a High School internship in 2004 he worked part time at VOCM before attending the Atlantic Media Institute in 2005.
Following graduation in 2006, Greg began his broadcasting career at CHCM in Marystown, before returning to St. John’s in 2010, where he currently hosts programs on a variety of stations and formats across the province (including VOCM & KIXX Country).
Greg is currently the host of four shows dedicated to the NL Music scene.
– The VOCM Irish NL Show, Saturday’s 7am-1pm
– Kixx Country’s Potluck, Sunday’s 12pm – 4pm
– Big Land FM’s Homebrew, 9am – 1pm (NL time)
– KIXX Country’s Folkus, presented by the Folk Arts Society of NL, Sundays 4-5pm
Outside of work Greg remains active as a volunteer. Having served as a board member for the Newfoundlad & Labrador Folk Arts Society, Easter Seals Dodge Dive Donate (co-ed dodgeball league) Board of Dodgers and the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival. He’s an advocate of local talent from music to the arts. He is also a supporter of shopping local and helping small business grow right here at home.
