Vicki Doyle (Victoria and The Lyricist)
Adult Contemporary \ Country \ Alternative
Victoria and The Lyricist is a unique duo based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland. The group is made up of singer/songwriter Vicki Doyle and song/writer Bobby Hogan, both originally from the rural Newfoundland community of Northern Bay. Vicki has been singing and song/writing since the early years of her life, and bobby has always had a passion for writing. The two put their heads together and released their debut full-length studio album “Long Story Short” back in November of 2016. The album is made up of 10 original songs written solely by Vicki and Bobby. Vicki has been performing music in many areas of the province for close to 15 years now, and since the development of Victoria and the Lyricist, along with the release of the album, there have been many new opportunities for this duo. Vicki continues to be a part of sold-out theatre performances, mostly at The Princess Sheila Nageira Theatre located in Carbonear, Newfoundland, and the release of “Long Story Short” has brought much attention to Vicki’s talent for performing and also for writing when she teams up with the writing abilities of Bobby Hogan. The duo’s first single, “Sing It’, went all the way to number one on a radio station in California called “Smokin’ FM”. Their second single “Broken Mirrors” has also been quite popular. Along with theatre work, Vicki plays a regular gig at The Fat Cat Blues Bar on George Street every Wednesday night. The love and passion for music and writing drive this duo to succeed!
