Artist Development

Fosters and supports Newfoundland and Labrador musical culture through the funding of diverse artists and genres in singles, EP’s, full-length sound recordings, marketing and promotion materials.

Deadlines: July 30, 2023 & November 30 , 2023


Touring Program

Designed to increase awareness of provincially produced music at local, national, and international levels by touring.


Professional Development

Providing assistance to those working in the music sector to improve creative skills, to gain greater knowledge of the music industry and to conduct business that seeks to promote and market outside the province.


Virtual Professional Development

Designed to provide assistance to members to improve creative skills, and to gain greater knowledge of the music industry through online learning.


Small Business Micro Music Grant (For Profit):

Small Business Micro Grant provides investments for small businesses (for profit) to provide musical experiences for their customers during 2023. Businesses can avail up to $500 to help cover the costs associated with hiring musical talent in their community. 

Please send final reports to info@musicnl.ca with SUBJECT LINE: SBMMG. Your report should answer 2 questions, P.S. we are not interested in vanity metrics we want to hear real impact 🙂 Q1. What did you do with the investment? Q2. What impact did you have?

Community Presenters Program (Not-for-Profit)

The Community Presenters Program provides investments for non-profit organizations/committees committed to providing musical experiences for their communities during 2023. Non-profit organizations/committees can avail up to $1500 to help cover the costs associated with hiring musical talent in their community.
