This workshop will provide a comprehensive look at proposal development specifically focusing on writing formal grant applications. The key components of the workshop will explore different types of proposals and the purpose of a proposal. It will focus on how to develop a proposal, key components of a proposal, critical do’s and don’ts of proposal writing and allow time for questions.
This workshop is aimed to cultural and arts organization managers as well as individual artists. Whether you have never written a proposal or have experience, this workshop will provide you with useful tips, checklists and informative takeaways.
Facilitator Bio Jennifer Young has been a Management Consultant for over twenty years working in the public, private and not-for- profit sectors for clients across Canada. With a focus on governance and organizational development, Jennifer has facilitated strategic planning consultations; developed governance models; conducted complex administrative, human resources, operational and financial systems reviews; performed organizational and operational assessments; managed large teams and projects; completed policy analysis and program reviews; managed policy development processes, as well as facilitated complex organizational change management and restructuring.
Jennifer also has extensive experience in conducting industry and market analysis studies; writing comprehensive business plans; compiling financial analysis, developing budgets, producing feasibility studies; and facilitating comprehensive business planning processes. As a skilled facilitator, an enthusiastic advisor and successful proposal writer she will share her knowledge and experience in this workshop. Jennifer has recently taken over as the Executive Director for Business and Arts NL.
