TIMA is a homegrown annual award ceremony and series of showcases with a mandate to provide independent musicians with a platform to attain the knowledge and tools for success. It was created in 2004 by Dani Oliva to support independent musicians. TIMA is free for musicians that reside in the Province of Ontario.
TIMA acknowledges and celebrates songs and live performance in a variety of genres without regard to recording quality, industry affiliation or sales history. TIMA is supported by Canadian and international music industry professionals, accomplished recording artists, broadcasters, and most of all – music fans and aficionados.
A TIMA is a coveted award shared by independent up-and-coming musicians who have gone on to sign with major and independent labels, top-charts, secure major motion picture sync deals, and win Juno Awards.
