Kathy Stock is a singer/songwriter and solo performing artist in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She grew up in a musical family and began playing and singing professionally while living in Tallahassee, Florida in 2008, where she was the featured entertainer at Giorgio’s Piano Bar. Since returning to Newfoundland in 2011, she has been the musical guest for TEDxStjohns, opened for NY Times Best Selling author and public speaker, Gabrielle Bernstein, written songs/jingles for the Town of Torbay, The Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games and Mary Brown’s Restaurant. Kathy's career was temporarily interrupted by a bout of cancer in 2013, when she was just 29 years old, but she returned to music at the end of cancer treatment and has since been cancer free. She has become an advocate for young adult cancer care and research, across Canada, and regularly works with Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC). Kathy's first single, "Time" was released in April, 2019 and was quickly followed by the release of her 10-track solo debut album, "Overcome" in September 2019.
