A native of St. John’s, Mary Barry is a nationally acclaimed singer-songwriter who has twice been voted Female Artist and Jazz-Blues Artist of the Year, along with multiple Music NL Nominations. A bilingual artist, she is a 4-time recipient of NL Arts & Letters awards, 2-time winner of FACTOR Publishers-Songwriters Demo award, and 3-time ECMA nominee. She took first prize in the CBC Atlantic Song Contest, was runner up in the CBC Alcan Jazz Competition (Atlantic) and semi-finalist in the International Songwriting competition (ISC).
