 The MusicNL Awards are aimed at celebrating the musicians and industry professionals of Newfoundland and Labrador. The awards recognize accomplishments, promote careers in the music industry are important in building the resumes of music professionals. The MusicNL Awards Show takes place during MusicNL Week every year. Awards are given out for various genres and categories to both artists and industry professionals.

MusicNL Week is a four-day conference that gives musicians and industry professionals in Newfoundland and Labrador the opportunity to build their networks by performing for and networking with a selection of national and international industry members. The week consists of industry networking meetings, educational discussion panels, workshops, and of course – shows of all genres.

The year 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of MusicNL. As such, the organization will place a strong focus on export development in 2017. MusicNL plans to strengthen the music industry in Newfoundland and Labrador by enhancing and diversifying export activities through a robust export development program to members at MusicNL Week 2017. In addition this program, the organization will create an export development strategy to set the stage for upcoming export ready artists.
