Mental Health Scholarship for Students Studying Music

MusicNL, the Canadian Mental Health Association – NL, and Lifewise Launched the Jason Cull Mental Health Scholarship for Students Studying Music

MusicNL has partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association Newfoundland and Labrador (CMHA-NL), and Lifewise to create a new scholarship. This will include one scholarship valued at $500 to recognize and support mental health in the music industry.  

“MusicNL is placing mental health centre stage.  This scholarship will provide a student studying music, financial support on their journey to improve their mental health.” – Rhonda Tulk-Lane, CEO, MusicNL.

Eligibility:
Applicants should be currently enrolled in or planning to attend school at the
college, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, or doctoral level in any music
related Program, and must be a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Evaluation Criteria:
This scholarship will be awarded based on the applicants written
explanation of how this award will improve their mental health.

Deadline for submissions: August 31st, 2022.

Master Corporal Jason Cull is a proud Newfoundlander & Afghanistan War Veteran. For Jason, music is used as a way to share his experience, his voice with the world, a way to remember those he’s served alongside. He released his debut album “Stranger” in 2020 to remember his fellow soldiers and as a way to heal.
