Quidi Vidi Brewery and MusicNL are excited to introduce the inaugural Battle of the Bands competition for 2025!

MusicNL is committed to the development and celebration of Newfoundland and Labrador’s music industry, and is thrilled to partner with Quidi Vidi to create an exciting platform for local emerging musicians.

Quidi Vidi Brewery is transforming their taproom into a stage for emerging artists to shine. The contest will run across four preliminary rounds (February 8, 15, 22, and March 1), with four different bands performing each night. The winner from each preliminary round will advance to the finals on March 22nd, where they’ll play for the win!

Each night promises to showcase incredible local talent, with amazing prizes up for grabs at every round. The winner will walk away with an even bigger prize package, including MusicNL membership and passes to our 2025 conference!

Contest Format:
– 4 bands perform each preliminary night
– Finalist announced same night
– Finalists advance to March 22nd Finals
– Prizes every night, including grand prize for the winner

Prizes:
– All participating bands will receive a Quidi Vidi prize pack.
– The winner from each night will take home a one-year MusicNL Membership.

The grand prize winner will receive:

• Custom band shirts for each member from Atlantic Music & Merch.

• 4 paid summer gigs at The QV Taproom (including social media promo)

• Passes to the 2025 MusicNL Conference 🎶

• Digital eCommerce Website/Storefront for 1 year from Atlantic Music & Merch
